Actually... the full title should be "Hearts are Strong yet Fragile Things" ... of course, I couldn't fit in the word "Things"

Oh boy. A more traditional art piece. Also, quite changed from what I originally had in mind... (Which kinda popped into my head when I was trying to go to sleep (again (goddamn insomnia...)))

Originally, she was going to have longer and curlier hair in a semi-lolita style, but then I couldn't see the neck, so I made it shorter... and made it pink.

Secondly, I was originally going to have video game references to hearts stuck in there... but some how, when I put in the Heart Cube from portal, I realized it didn't look quite as sleek as I wanted it to... and the original stick figure scene of Xemnas, Sora, Riku, Donald, and Goofy with the broken Kingdom Hearts in the ribbon kinda look... well... weird... so I settled for Heart related objects already set heavily within society... like those goddamn sweetarts with those overly trite phrases on them... and a broken heart, etc.

Lastly, I originally wanted the heart monitor line to be green... but it blended in too much with the turquoise heart diagram... so I settled with purple...


Nonetheless, I'm actually rather pleased with this. Colourwise, I think I did nicely. It's a step up for me in terms of fine art.

As a side note, I did manage to tuck two small video game references in there. As hints, one's from Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, and the second one is from Fire Emblem (Original one with Marth) If someone can find these references... I think I may just do a commission for them.
